Laulima No Na Ohana is a nonprofit, community-based "Village" on Kaua‘i that supports kupuna (elders) who wish to age in place. We provide services, social connections, and culturally grounded care so that members can remain in their homes with dignity and independence.
What does "Laulima" mean?
Laulima means “many hands working together” in Hawaiian. It reflects our belief that aging well is a shared responsibility that thrives in community. Our volunteers, staff, and families work hand in hand to support one another.
Who can join the Village?
Our Village is open to kupuna who live on Kaua‘i and are looking for practical support, meaningful social connections, and a culturally rooted community. We also welcome volunteers of all ages who want to give back.
What kinds of services are offered?
Depending on volunteer availability and member needs, we offer services such as:
